BEI

Canadian label (also appears as B.E.I.) founded in 1990 under the brand Justin Entertainment Inc. by Jeff Burns (4) but due to a lawsuit by Montréal label Justin Time, the company was forced to rename itself to Burns Entertainment Inc. (aka BEI) on March 28, 1992. In 1993 the company founded Burns Consulting Inc. and Burns brought Anthony Tsavdaris onboard as a partner. By 1995 the label was defunct and Burns moved on to found Pelican Records International Corp. Distribution deal with MCA Records Canada was initially carried over to BEI but on October 25, 1993 BEI switched distribution to the A&M/Island branch of PolyGram Group Canada Inc.
