Cadillac Records
Настоящее имя: Cadillac Records
British jazz label founded by John Jack with Mike Westbrook in 1973, initially to release Westbrook's live album which was turned down by RCA (with whom Westbrook had a contract) because of its recording quality. The new label's name was a reference to Westbrook's then new band Solid Gold cadillac.
In the following years, under John Jack’s management, and often in association with Ogun, Cadillac Records went on to build a catalogue of some of the most important contemporary Jazz generated in the UK. When John Jack died in 2018 the label passed to Mike Gavin who had worked with John from the mid 1980s. On May 25 2018 Cadillac released a recording of Mike Westbrook - the Last Night at Ronnie Scott's Old Place, on John's birthday and exactly 50 years after the original event as a tribute to JJ.
