Octavio Henrique de Oliveira (born in Espírito Santo do Pinhal SP, on 12/05/1919, died in Rio de Janeiro, on 9/2/1983) became popular as a samba singer in the 1940's under the stage name Black-Out (3). In the late 1950's he launched himself as a singer of boleros and other Latin rhythms under the pseudonym Don Octavio Henrique De Los Boleros. He was also an actor, known for films like "Quero Morrer No Carnaval" (1962), "Malandros Em Quarta Dimensão" (1954) and "Vamos Com Calma" (1956). With the nationalist spelling reform of the 1960s in Brazil his name started to be spelled as Blecaute, following the phoneme/pronunciation in Portuguese of the expression in English. Also his first name is currently spelled Otávio for the same reason.
