RUFUS (11)

One half of the band "Two Of A Kind (12)", Raymond - A Deep House DJ hailing from Middelburg, South Africa. RUFUS (11)is part of the "Middelburg Brat-Pack", which includes names like Cuebur, Nathan X, Cubique DJ CB, Coltrane, Thabzen Bibo who have now emerged as relatively successful Underground House, Deep House producers from Middelburg, Mpumalanga since 2008. As Two Of A Kind (12) along side friend Coltrane, they managed to sign an EP "Illusions of Life" to an American Label, which was also selected for the 2010 Winter Music Conference based in Miami. They went on to produce several unreleased single's which were later signed to their own establishment CX Recordings. His first solo single was, "Right Places" with remixes from the likes of Sole Essential, Local Instruments, Kadasma, Coltrane and Monocles & Slezz. It went to chart in the Top 100 of best selling single's on Digital Music Site, Traxsource. Right Places was followed by "Only You (Incl. Doc Link & Deep Gee Remixes", and apart from charting on the top 50 best selling single's on Traxsource, behind the acclaimed Ralf Gum single "Take Me To My Love", it was also featured on South Africa's biggest radio station Metro FM, by Vinny Da Vinci on his show. RUFUS (11) who still maintains his original sound later released, "Retro Love" in 2013, again to favorable reviews. He has remixed the likes of Coltrane, Monocles (Monocles & Slezz) to name a few. And has been the A&R of CX Recordings since 2009, establishing and writing and co-producing some of the label's music. He has also produced music as Deepavali.
