CX Recordings

CX Recordings was established in 2008 by Kekeletso Collen Xathi (Coltrane), as a way of upbringing the many talents of Middelburg, Mpumalanga residents. It took just over a year for the label to have that bit of recognition. In April 2010 the label was linked to Italian Electronic House producers, Phunk Investigation. Coltrane never gave up on the idea of making this label Middelburg’s second biggest after the renowned Mtoni Jikelele Entertainment. Hence the failed attempt, Music production was never seized. RUFUS (11) (Raymond Bongane Nkosi) who is also the brains behind CX Recordings together with Coltrane decided on forming Two Of A Kind (12), a Project through which they produced Ancestral House and Afro Deep. The project got a head start after their efforts of releasing digitally. The label's first release became available world wide for digital download in late October 2010, with a track called Drums of Congo by Two Of A Kind (12). The track came out as an EP with just the original and one remix. CX Rrecordings has went on to release Top selling tracks including "Right Places", "Only You" and "Illusions of Life". Beginning in 2014, the label restructured itself to focus on the much more commercial part of music, with plans to add Hip Hop, Pop, Jazz, Funk to its growing catalog of releases.
