Born in Francistown, Botswana on January 6th, 1973, and having moved to Sacramento, California at age 13 where he grew up, Dave a.k.a. Draztik returned back to Botswana in 1993, and started collaborating with the local Hip Hop talent in and around Gaborone. Concentrating his efforts on both Production and MCing, he started a rap group with fellow artists Fat Free and I.Q. called Organik Interfaze, releasing a few tracks independently and gaining local acclaim. Relocating to Johannesburg in 1998, Draztik founded Unreleased Records and formed the group Cashless Society, consisting of MC's from both Gaborone and Johannesburg. They released their single "Blazetha Breaks" along with other notable releases that followed. In 2000, skipping back and forth between Gaborone and Johannesburg, Draztik launched a radio show, on Botswana's national radio station RB2 called "The Strictly Hip Hop radio show", which aired every wednesday, and show cased International as well as local Hip Hop and featured freestyles and guest appearances from local Hip Hop talent from Botswana. 2003 saw the release of Cashless Society's highly acclaimed debut album, African Raw Material Vol. 1. Winner of the 2004 "Producer Of The Year" Award at the Botswana Hip Hop Music Awards. Draztik hooked up with Young Nations the following year. Together they recorded the album "Nations Uprising" which was licensed through Gallo Record Company. Draztik has produced for the likes of Cashless Society, Young Nations, Pro Kid, Zuluboy, Flabba, Maggz, Apollo Diablo, Zeus, Stagga and Tha Orakle among many others.
