South African rapper and producer, born 25 June 1981 in Soweto, South Africa - died 8 August 2018. He was known for rapping in a mixture of South African township Soweto vernacular (tsotsi taal) and English. The front man of his crew Saudi Western, which included Maggz, Morale, Tido, Zee, Sean Pages, and Omen. Pro had numerous battles with other South African MC's, including a much publicised battle with 2rinity member Kaydo (2) on Johannesburg's radio station Y-FM. His debut album "Heads And Tales" was released on Gallo Record Company in 2005. His singles "Soweto" and "Wozobona" were well received, and his sophomore album "DNA" was released the following year. His third album "Dankie San" was released independently on TS Records in November of 2007. Pro Kid worked with various producers including Amu, Omen, Draztik, Dplanet and Nyambz.
