Details 1&2

'Details' was inspired by the book "Works . Texts . to 1974" by the artist Tom Phillips. 'He has produced a series of fifty recapitulatory paintings ... in which he revisits all the styles, manners, experiments and mistakes of the preceding twelve years activity.' In this case, this is thirty-three works from the years 1979 to 1988.
