The Shartse monks were brought to the United States by the EastWest Foundation as part of the Sacred Voices Sacred Sounds congress of Harmonia Mundi, an interdisciplinary meeting of scholars, spiritual masters, business leaders and psychotherapists organized at the suggestion of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama to explore world harmony through compassionate action.
