L.A.-based label formed by record producer/songwriter Jeff Barry in 1967. Pressed and distributed in the US by Dot Records. After nearly five years of limited success (the label's two biggest-selling acts were Andy Kim and Robin McNamara), Barry closed down the label in 1971 and its catalog was folded into Famous Music's Dot/Paramount Records catalog.
NOTE: Canadian releases of Steed material appeared on the parent Dot label.
