He charted 163 times between 1960 and 2022, including nine #1 songs beginning with "Tell Laura I Love Her" in 1960. Other #1's included: "Chapel of Love", "Do Wah Diddy Diddy", "Leader of the Pack", "Hanky Panky", "Sugar, Sugar", "I Honestly Love You", "Da Doo Run Run", and "Take Me Home Tonight".
