Arto Universal Record
Настоящее имя: Arto Universal Record
U.S. record label (1920-1923), produced by The Arto Company of Orange, New Jersey. Earliest releases claimed that the "Arto Universal Record Plays Well On ANY Talking Machine" and used a universal cut. However, Arto soon switched to a standard lateral cut and eliminated the universal notation from its labels. Discs were produced in a black-label (9000) popular series and a red-label (3000) classical series. Recording was contracted to several studios including the Independent Recording Laboratories, and Arto also drew on previously issued Lyraphone Company Of America masters. Although Arto had a hit in February, 1921 with Lucille Hegamin's recording of "Arkansas Blues", the The Arto Company declared bankruptcy in April, 1923.
