Rockingchair Productions
Настоящее имя: Rockingchair Productions
Rockingchair Productions (full legal name Rockingchair Productions, LLC) was a music production company founded by musician and producer Mark Yoshida and his business partner, musician and graphic artist Brandon Seavers in December of 1994. The two musicians were then playing together in the band Six Million Dollar Band. The production company was first based in Memphis, Tennessee but relocated briefly to Nashville, Tennessee. The company was named after Yoshida's recording studio, Rockingchair Studios, which he had previously founded in 1989. Also in December of 1994, Yoshida and Seavers founded a record label, Rockingchair Records. In September of 1997, Yoshida and Seavers purchased the Audio MasterWorks, Memphis facility and renamed it AudioGraphic MasterWorks. Rockingchair Productions was from then on headquartered at AudioGraphic MasterWorks, which acted as an umbrella company for all the Rockingchair companies. In 2014, Yoshida and Seavers opened a vinyl manufacturing plant called Memphis Record Pressing.
Rockingchair Productions continued to register music until the 2000's and was not only used for all Rockingchair Records releases, but also for releases which Brandon Seavers designed the artwork for, in the case that he registered a barcode to use on the covers. These bar-codes, usually starting with 600385, are used as the company codes on Discogs, because they hold the copyright and use of the codes.
The Rockingchair company's legal counselor was David Moser (2).
