RTC
Настоящее имя: RTC
New Zealand label. Its parent company RTC NZ Ltd. licensed products from Virgin, and other US & UK independents, including Rough Trade, Beggars Banquet and Factory.
RTC stood for Record And Tape Corporation, and it was founded in 1976 by Brian Pitts (2), Warwick Woodward and John McCready (2) (later Managing Director of CBS NZ and CBS Australia).
The company absorbed the earlier Boom Boom Music Ltd. and took over that company's record and tape marketing business. McCready and Woodward sold their shares to Pitts in late 1977. In October 1983 RTC NZ Ltd. was purchased by Virgin Records NZ Ltd. and Pitts owned 25% of the new operation.
