Recording studio in West Columbia, South Carolina USA that was owned by Crandel Berry "C.B." Herndon. Jim Stanton was one of the most notable recording engineers to work at the studio and he engineered records released on the associated record label between about 1973 and 1975, prior to moving back to Tennessee and starting Champ Records (7). C.B Herndon's daughter, Madera Ridley worked at the studio, as well as Madera's husband in the 1970's, Art Ridley.
The studio was first opened around 1970 in the Varnville / Hampton, South Carolina USA area and was originally known as "C.B. Herndon Studio." By 1973, the studio had moved to West Columbia, Lexington County, South Carolina USA, where it remained in operation until at least 1978.
