The Jazzpar Project

A banner/brand and series related to the Danish Jazzpar jazz prize. From 1990 to 2004 The Danish Jazzpar Prize was one of the most prestigeous jazz awards. The award was given to a prominent jazz musician and the ambition was to stimulate things to come just as much as to appreciate the past. The prize was 200.000 DKK. Besides the award, the event also included The Jazzpar Project; leading up to the concert events, a Danish jazz leader was appointed to arrange and rehearse for the prize winners concerts, as the project also was to promote Danish jazz musicians. Followng the award a tour was held, The Jazzpar Concerts, with the initial concert always held in Denmark as the award event. This live concert would de be released on CD as part of the project. These CD's were branded as part of The Jazzpar Project.
