Caribou

Caribou Records was the original name on the logo, which was later shortened to simply Caribou. Canadian country music label from Toronto, Ontario launched in May 1970. Named for the Caribou Club in Toronto, a club focused on east coast musicians and the setting of the "At The Caribou" TV program. The label released material primarily by artists who appeared at the club and on the program. Distribution was originally handled by Canadian Music Sales Corp. Ltd. switching to Arc Sound Ltd. in. 1971.
