Audio Plastics Ltd.

UK company founded in March 1961 (officially registered on March 2nd, 1961). Also printed as Audio-Plastics Ltd. Originally established in 1959 as "Rank Audio Plastics Ltd.", after Rank incorprated Paul S. Lynton's company Lyntone Recordings Ltd. Renamed to Audio Plastics in 1961 after the Rank Organisation withdrew completely from its record manufacturing operations, which involved Rank Audio Plastics Ltd. in the UK and Rank Audio Plastics Inc. in the US. After leaving Rank, Paul Lyntone revived his former company Lyntone Recordings. Note: early Audio Plastics Ltd. releases also carry a LYN number. The name Audio Plastics Ltd. was deregistered in February 1982.
