The Adventure Company

The Adventure Company was a publishing division of a Canadian video game developer DreamCatcher Interactive Inc., launched in January 2002 and defunct after 2011. The publisher distributed adventure games, working with many notable studios and developers, including Microïds, Cryo Interactive Entertainment, Frogwares, Lexis Numerique, Revolution Software, Sumo Digital, and Telltale Games. In 2006, when DreamCatcher Interactive became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Austrian video game publisher JoWooD Productions, all of The Adventure Company's assets also went to JoWooD. In August 2011, Nordic Games (later reincorporated as THQ Nordic GmbH) acquired bankrupted JoWooD and some of its subsidiaries, including DreamCather and The Adventure Company.
