DOCdata New England

DOCdata New England was a pressing plant located in Sanford, Maine, United States. This plant was first opened in 1986 by injection molder Shape Optimedia, Inc., who then sold it to Europe Optical Disc (EOD) in 1989, at which point it seemingly became known as U.S. Optical Disc. EOD was was later taken over by DOCdata, and the plant became DOCdata New England. DOCdata announced plans to pull out of the US market in January 2002, and on 29 March 2002 DOCdata New England, Inc. was sold back to the local managing team, at which time the plant returned to the name U.S. Optical Disc.
