Electric Avenue Studios
Настоящее имя: Electric Avenue Studios
Electric Avenue is a world-class music recording facility located in Sydney, Australia, owned in various incarnations by Phil Punch. Musicians who have recorded there include Mark Simmonds (including his ARIA award-winning jazz album Fire), Don Walker (2), Graeme Connors, The Wiggles, Slim Dusty, Jenny Morris, Anne Kirkpatrick, The New Christs, Ed Kuepper, The Beasts Of Bourbon and others.
Phil worked with Groove Myers at Groovex for about 6 years prior to starting Electric Avenue Studios, which were originally located at 174 Mullens St, Rozelle, from 1983 to 1993. The 16 track Studer and various mikes from Groovex formed the nucleus of the Electric Avenue recording gear.
Phil bought the former Trafalgar Studios (located at 74b Trafalgar St, Annandale, and now demolished) and some gear from Charles Fisher, where Electric Avenue operated from 1994 to 2003. The premises were then sold, and Phil bought the former Milk Bar Studios at 19 Gibbens Street, Camperdown, where Electric Avenue operated from 2004 to May 2010.
Following the sale of these premises, and after an 18 month break, Electric Avenue resumed operation at the rear of 90 Trafalgar Street, Annandale. It has since re-located to Pyrmont, in Sydney.
