Australian Producer & Engineer. He is widely known as the producer of Savage Garden's album which yielded 10 ARIAs in 1997 (including Producer of the Year for himself). The song, "I Want You" from this album was a hit in many countries, even winning an international award, Best International Debut Single, from Channel V in India. Fisher has over 40 gold and platinum albums to his credit and is referred to in Australia as "The Song Doctor" for his ability to perceive potential in songs that come to life with some rewriting and arrangement changes. In 2001, Australian publishers, through APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association), awarded him the Ted Albert Award in recognition of this ability. In the mid-1970s Fisher opened the Trafalgar Studios in Sydney's inner south-western suburbs. The studio was a premier Australian independent recording facility, recording & producing Australian acts through the 1970s and 1980s such as Marcia Hines, Midnight Oil, The Aliens, INXS, Cold Chisel, Skyhooks, Sherbet, Radio Birdman, Moving Pictures, Martin Plaza, Hoodoo Gurus, and, as well as international acts such as Police, and Syrius. He has also worked with Air Supply, Olivia Newton-John, Gyan, Mount Florida, Electric Pandas, Soul Decision, The Radiators (2), Deep Blue Something, and Ace of Base.
