Pye Records Ltd.

The record company owning the label Pye Records. Established in 1959 after a name change from Pye Nixa. The company ATV acquired 50% of the label and bought the other half of the business in 1966. The company was renamed to PRT Records Ltd. in 1980. Pye Records had several subsidiaries/affiliates: Pye Records (Sales) Ltd. (which itself owned the manufacturing division (i.e. pressing plant) Tranco Limited), as well as Pye Studios and the graphics division Pye Records Studios.
