Anchor Records Ltd.

UK record company founded in 1974. On 1 October 1975 Anchor Records Ltd. acquired the distribution license for the UK of ABC Records, Inc. repertoire, after the previous distribution agreement with EMI Records Ltd. had expired. See Probe label profile for that era. There was a mutual distribution agreement with ABC Records, Inc. in the US. Anchor issued many ABC albums as "ABC Records Marketed by Anchor Records".
