Canadian record company of Gary Salter incorporated in 1974. Parent of many of Salter's ventures (multiple labels, publishers, studio Thunder Sound at one point, Toronto nightclub Heaven), it was also a wholesaler and export company that gained notoriety for selling Canadian releases into the U.S. at greatly reduced prices. Went into receivership in mid-1979 and defunct by end of 1979. IGM also went under while his partners in Heaven bought him out and Thunder Sound was sold off. Salter then moved the operation to Los Angeles under the name Black & Whites Sales Inc. to evade Canadian receivers. Eventually Salter and B&W manager Tony Donato formed International Traders Inc., which was busted by Interpol in 1982 for piracy which resulted in Salter being arrested in.the Philippines.
