It changed its name to Mahir (Magyar Hirdető - Hungarian Advertiser) in 1956. In 1992 it converted to a closed Joint-stock company, Mahir Magyar Hirdető Zrt. From then the company built a broad ranging company group with such companies as Mahir Cityposter Kft., Mahir Lapkiadó Kft., Mahir Kiállítást Szervező Kft., Hung-Ister Filmprodukció Rt., Mahir Nyomda Rt., Mahir Többletajándéktárgy Kft.
Mahir is credited on the printed material of many releases from the early 1980s to the early 1990s, accompanying another print company (e.g. "Sylvester J. Ny. - MAHIR"). In these cases Mahir was a broker (similar to Typorg), connecting the printing company to Hungaroton, it did not actually print the sleeves, inserts. On releases use the "Made By" or "Manufactured By" company roles in order to document the company.
