Small recording studio owned and run by Ray Baradat (Raymond A. Baradat), located in Tulare, California. The studio gave local artists an opportunity to have their music recorded. Baradat is a founding member of The Charades who in the 1960s, recorded for Tony Hilder the owner of the LA based Impact label (see Impact (12)). Baradat also founded Charade Records which in addition to Charades recordings, released a VA compilation LP, 15430826 which contained tracks produced by Hilder.
The studio did the mixing and mastering for the 2013 devotional Supernatural Reaction album by Landes & One Accord. The album was produced by Landes Dung and Ray Baradat. In February, 2021, Charade Records released 18859930, a 22 track compilation album. Four tracks on the album by the group Justice were recorded at The Phone Booth. Other tracks on the album by Don LeBaron, Dennis Curtsinger, Trio Del Pueblo, Louie's 216 and Bobby Dennison were recorded there as well.
