Trio consisting of Joe Vargas, Henry Vasquez (1936 - 2020) and Ray Castro The trio would often perform, entertaining guests at "Joe's Place", a popular restaurant owned by Vargas. The repertoire of Mexican songs included some of Vargas' own compositions. They also sang for some radio programs in Tulare, California. Two songs by the trio which were recorded at The Phone Booth in Tulare, California appeared on the VA compilation, 18859930 which was released in February, 2021. They were produced by Joe Vargas and Ray Baradat (see Raymond A. Baradat) who owned the studio. Baradat was a founding member of The Charades. Henry Vasquez (July 22, 1936 in Las Cruces, New Mexico) was also an early member of The Charades band, playing bass, as well as a member of Latin Knights, Rhythm Kings and The Rhythm Aces. In later years his move was to Mexican bands such as Los Moondells, Los Patruelleros, and Los Nortenos Dell Valle and Trio Del Pueblo. In addition to playing in bands, he held down his role as a Butcher for Tulare Meat Company for 30 years. He died on April 2, 2020.
