Twin/Tone Records

Punk/alternative rock label from Minneapolis, MN, USA Beginning with the 1977 release of [m703382], Twin/Tone eventually released over 300 records by over 180 bands, and distributed over 20 smaller regional labels. The label became dormant in 1994 following the release of Viva! Suburbs! (Live At First Avenue), licensing their more popular catalog titles to Restless Records. In 2017, the label put out [m1196599], their first release in 23 years. Twin/Tone is best-known for being the original home of The Replacements, Soul Asylum (2), Babes In Toyland, and The Jayhawks, amongst others.
