Twin/Tone Records

Punk/alternative rock label from Minneapolis, MN, USA Beginning with the 1977 release of [m703382], Twin/Tone eventually released over 300 records by over 180 bands, and distributed over 20 smaller regional labels. The label became dormant in 1994 following the release of [r2595558], licensing their more popular catalog titles to Restless Records. In 2017, the label put out [m1196599], their first release in 23 years. Twin/Tone is best-known for being the original home of The Replacements, Soul Asylum (2), Babes In Toyland, and The Jayhawks, amongst others.
