ORZ Records
Настоящее имя: ORZ Records
This pirate label has invented the 100% Hits series concept for the Russian market. This concept was later 'stolen' directly by other manufacturers, such as Fantom Records (2) or transformed as "200% Hits" by Dance Ok! Studio or "1000% The Best" by Deconstruction (2).
The label was very active at the end of the '90s and had a lot of releases.
After year 2000 the label appeared again, but now it pretended to be working under license and tried to hide its pirate roots. "ORZ Records" was no more mentioned on artwork, it was replaced by "Хитлайнер. Лицензионное соглашение №-M3 II/037/2002" (text saying the release was manufactured under license). Releases now contained Credits pages, which mentioned original labels & song writers.
But the audio quality was still questionable, like it was in the '90s. Since label's releases still contained tracks mastered from MP3 files, and some releases were just re-issues of "ORZ Records" products with slightly modified artwork.
ORZ Records releases have a collectable value, mostly because of unique artwork. At for the audio quality - on some releases it is low (where all or nearly all tracks mastered from MP3 files), on others it's more acceptable (most tracks in CDDA quality).
