Leader Sound Ltd.

Leader Sound Ltd. (occasionally referenced as Leader Sound Limited) was the company that owned the Trailer and Leader (2) labels from 1969 until it went into liquidation in the late 1970s. The company's name and either London or (from 1973) Halifax addresses appeared on the back covers of all Leader and Trailer releases from 1969 to some point in 1974, when manufacturing of Trailer and Leader releases migrated from EMI to Transatlantic Records Ltd.; from this point on back covers largely only referenced Transatlantic as manufacturer and distributor and made no reference to Leader Sound Ltd. Not to be confused with Leader Sound or Leader Sound Studios, being terms used to described the related studio facilities.
