Leader (2)
Настоящее имя: Leader (2)
Traditional folk label founded in Great Britain in 1969 by Bill Leader and operated until 1977. The back catalogue is now owned by Celtic Music.
From 1969 until some point in 1974, Leader and companion revival label Trailer releases were pressed by EMI and distributed by Transatlantic Records Ltd.. Thereafter, due to EMI's withdrawal of support for small labels, both manufacturing and distribution were taken over by Transatlantic Records Ltd.. Other than the Sid Kipper titles, the CDs and CDr releases shown on this page are re-releases of Leader and Trailer titles dating from the 1990s onwards, after the catalogues had been sold to Celtic Music.
[l1390070], which owned the Leader and Trailer labels until it went into liquidation in the late 1970s, operated from 5 North Villas, London NW1 9BJ from 1969 until some point in 1973, when it relocated to 209 Rochdale Rd, Halifax, Yorkshire HX4 8JE; tel: Elland (042 27) 6161.
Reference to the Halifax address on the back covers of Leader and Trailer releases largely ceases after 1974, when Leader and Trailer releases began to be manufactured as well as distributed by [l143316], 86 Marylebone High St, London W1M 4AY.
