Saboteur
Настоящее имя: Saboteur
Saboteur Musique was launched in the summer of 2000 by label manager Leo Cerasa aka DJ Leo Cruz with a mandate to release quality electronic music by international and Canadian talent. Saboteur has enjoyed success since its inception with 12'' releases from artists DJ Hyperactive (Chicago; Hybrid, Missile), the legendary L.A. Williams (Detroit; Djax, Tresor), Paul Birken (Minneapolis; Eight Ball, Dust Traxx) and Kenneth Graham (California; Peacefrog, Plastic City). Saboteur's distribution partners have included Kompakt, Intergroove, Watts Music and Nice Music.
A new emphasis was made in 2003 to release and promote music by artists of Saboteur's home base: Montreal. 2003 sees a release schedule filled with Montreal artists, starting with the fall release from Testarosa, which is Leo himself with musical partner Tony Roma. This release will be followed by two 12"s by Francisco Garcia (slated for release in April and July '04) and two more Testarosa 12''s (slated for release in November '03 and October '04). Noah Pred, now joins the Saboteur camp starting with a brilliantly thought out 4 track ep slated for release in the summer of 2004.The launch of the new CD division of Saboteur is scheduled for November 2004, and will be inaugurated by a full-length release from Francisco Garcia, followed by a compilation CD by various Montreal producers entitled Music For The Heart From The Heart.
Saboteur Musique has now teamed up with its new exclusive distribution partners Rhythmic, in the US, and Intergroove in Germany. All North American sub-distribution is handled Rhythmic. All other sub-distribution for territories including Europe and Japan are handled by Intergroove Germany.
Saboteurs family has grown as well to include the partnership of Gualter Azevedo as artist management and Louise Gauvreau aka DJ Maüs for media relations.
