Record Library Series
Настоящее имя: Record Library Series
Library series of classical box sets from His Master's Voice (HMV). The series starts with 596 Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band and was in the 600-range at the turn of the 1950s-1960s.
The Record Library Series were Mono-recordings. The three-digit RLS series ended with RLS 769 in 1982. By that time the Record Library Series had evolved into a series with a different name: The HMV Treasury. This series continued with RLS 7700, ending the four-digit range with RLS 7711 in 1983. The RLS chronology ended in 1984. During its final year the RLS prefix was placed in front of international EAN numbers.
In 1963 The Gramophone Co. Ltd. released 5 language courses on the His Master's Voice label. They were each packed in a box containing a grammar book, insert and 7 singles. The products were licensed from the Institute For Language Study and were entitled "Learn French In Record Time", "Learn German In Record Time", "Learn Spanish In Record Time", "Learn Italian In Record Time" and "Learn Russian In Record Time". Even though the box set catalogue numbers are RLS 676 to RLS 680, they are not part of the Record Library Series.
