Budweiser Showdown

An American music contest where contestants competed for cash prizes and record deals. It was orchestrated nationally, first by Showdown Records and later by Starstream Record Co., in conjunction with corporate sponsors, hence 'Budweiser', and local radio stations throughout the US and mainly organized from 1983 to 1989. Name variations: "Budweiser Showdown Tournament Of Jams!"
