Bach-Archiv Leipzig

Founded in 1950, Bach-Archiv Leipzig is an institution for the documentation and research of the life and work of Johann Sebastian Bach. In tandem with Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Institut Göttingen, they produced the New Bach Edition (in German, Neue Ausgabe sämtlicher Werke), completed in 2006, after which the Göttingen institute closed and work consolidate into the Bach Archive.
