Studio Start, Buizingen (Belgium)
Настоящее имя: Studio Start, Buizingen (Belgium)
Recording studio built in 1968 in the town of Buizingen (Halle), Belgium - some 20 km from Brussels - by the Flemish entrepreneur Sylvain Tack. The studio was located on the premises of Tack's waffle factory (Suzy waffles) and consisted of one recording room (8 tracks) between 1968 and 1973, called studio A. In 1973 a second recording studio with updated equipment (16 tracks) was added to the studio complex which took the name of studio A as soon as it was taken into use. The older studio was from that moment on referred to as studio B. Tack and his technical team operated Studio Start between 1968 and the mid seventies. In 1975, in financial difficulties because of legal issues, Tack is forced to file for bankruptcy and halt his activities. Studio A however manages to escape the bankruptcy and is first let to Flemish producer and songwriter Leo Caerts and the singer Rocco Granata, then finally sold to Leo Caerts. Caerts and Granata change the name of the studio to Studio Swan (or Swan Studio).
The following people are known to have been involved (mainly as technician or engineer) with Studio Start: Pierre Dupriez, Dany Bernard (ex-Studio DES), Michel Barez, Willy Paques, Robert Van Hove, Jean-Marie Maximilien and Jean-Marie Dohan.
