The University of Rochester (commonly abbreviated as U of R, UR, or U of Rochester) is an American private research university, established in 1850 and located in Rochester, New York. It has over 158 buildings, housing 200+ academic majors and contains the Eastman School Of Music, which ranks as one of the top undergraduate music schools in the USA.
