The Meistersingers (2)

This mixed choir was formed in 1967, in the city of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada. Their creation acknowledged the province of Saskatchewan's centennial year. This large group consisted of sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses, supported by instrumentalists. In 1969, Comprehensive High School opened in the city and would provide a home for the choir as part of their music program, along with The Composettes, The Cantando Singers, and The Jazzmin Singers. The Meistersingers have performed in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta, at events including music festivals, competitions, choral workshops, and conventions. They remain active today.
