Rinat Ibragimov

Russian-Tatar classical double bass player, conductor, and Professor of Double Bass. Born on November 5, 1960 in Moscow, USSR - Died on September 2, 2020 in London, England, UK. He studied at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire. Between 1983 and 1997 he was the Principal Double Bass of the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, the Academy Of Ancient Music Moscow, Moscow Soloists, and The Soloists of the Moscow Philharmonic. He relocated to London, England in 1995. Former Principal Double Bass of The London Symphony Orchestra (1996-2020). He was Professor of Double Bass at the Moscow Conservatory (1991-1997), The Guildhall School Of Music & Drama from 1999, and the Royal College of Music, London from 2007. He was married to Lutsia Ibragimova with whom they had a daughter, Alina Ibragimova.
