Academy Of Ancient Music Moscow

Academy of Early Music Ensemble of the Moscow Philharmonic. The ensemble was created in 1982 by the famous violinist, laureate of international competitions Tatiana Grindenko. From the very first performances, the musicians showed themselves to be a team of universal possibilities, capable of solving the most complex and diverse performing and creative tasks. Since 1987 the ensemble has been a member of the Moscow Philharmonic. In 1999 Tatyana Grindenko founded the Opus Posth. Ensemble on the basis of the Academy of Early Music Ensemble, specifically for the implementation of the New Sacred Space project. Its activities are based on the concept of the composer Vladimir Martynov, which determined both the name of the ensemble and the creative vision of the musicians of the modern cultural situation, in which traditional composing and performing activities are being replaced by a new space for music-making that does not fit into any specific genre framework.
