At the end of seventies and in the beginning of the french eighties, in a small city of the south west of France called Fumel (dpt 47), a legend said than more or less 14 rock bands (Drei Oklok, Angoisse, Eclypse, Brumaire, Les Taxidermistes, etc) played rock'n roll music for less than 5 thousands people living in the area ! Les Ablettes is the most important and influential of all. Pure scene rock band and quatuor known first in France for their rock version of (Claude Nougaro french cover "Tu verras" (Que Sera) in 1983 after an auto product and confidential EP (1981), the band is mostly at its birth under the influences of The Clash, Buzzcocks, (english rock punk, ska and reggae bands) with also reggae influences of Linton Kwesi Johnson. But they will have to wait five more years before being signed in a major company... Meanwhile, they became a real power trio in 1987/88 for their first LP/CD album for Polygram (more pop than rock for some old fans) and they knew an entrusting success with the single "Jackie s'en fout" (Jacky don't care) but they didn't have an other real hit single anymore. Anyway, they were a real good scene band, a powerful rock trio for their live performances (some of the fans still wait for the first studio recordings who stayed unpublished). After many live performance (more than 1000) all over France and Europe (success in Greece and Austria, etc) and two more LP/CD and some singles (in 1991 "Tu dis OK" called one of the best rock single of the year for "Rock'n Folk" magazine), the band split in 2000 and in a way survived through some dance and electronic projects like LMZ (Le Manifeste Zaârma/LMZ) ruled by the lead singer and leader of the band, Philo Fournier Members: Guitars : Francis Albert, Bebeck Lacoste, Christophe Balvet. Drums : Pascal Batista, Franck Flies keyboards : La Mite Fournier Bass and vocals : Philo Fournier.
