Swedish church musician, pianist, organist, flutist, cellist, producer and arranger. Starting 1982 he conducted the choir Swensk Ton. Kjellström was born in 1943 in Sweden, moving to Germany in 1971. Here he began working with the [Janz Team] mission’s music label as head producer; also he was a co-founding member of the [Janz Team Singers]. He moved on to become head of music department at ERF, Germany’s Biggest Christian radio, fully named [Evangeliums-Rundfunk], where he started recording extra original content with a small choir in order to fill up the radio archive’s music titles to play on air; thus the founding and conducting of the first generation of the [ERF-Studiochor] goes to his credit. After only one year he left to pursue his ambitions of founding an own contemporary Christian music label and the genre’s first Germany importer/distributor of international releases. In 1977 he established his short living nonetheless highly influential and landscaping the scene even beyond it’s active years of publishing progressive Christian Pop/Rock music label Blue Rose (2). When the company went bankrupt though it’s highly appreciating public reception, competitor [Pila Music] bought publishing rights of the label‘s, even then every single one iconic, releases. Kjellström, after that, would only work freelance as publishing artist/music producer. He died in 2019, December, 17th.
