Composer, mixer, producer, educator, performer, and writer, based in San Francisco, California. From 1963 to 1968 he worked with Bill Putnam at both of his studios in Hollywood, United Recording Studios and Western Recorders, and later on did remote location recording, for Putnam, and with Wally Heider, including both the Monterey Pop and Monterey Jazz festivals in 1967. In April 1969 he moved to work at Peter Weston's Pacific High Recording in San Francisco. As a composer and songwriter he has worked with Jerry Garcia, Paul Kantner, Graham Nash and others. He did recording projects with Denny Zeitlin, and worked with film director Philip Kaufman on "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" and "The Wanderers". He did sound design and compositional work for theatre and dance in the 1980s and 1990s. In the 1990s, he worked in motion picture sound mixing and design, and taught the Film 520 post-production sound class in the Cinema Department at San Francisco State University for nine years (1991-1999).
