B. August, 1989, in São Paulo. Brazilian composer, musician and journalist. Pedro Viáfora grew up surrounded by music under the influence of his father, the singer and composer Celso Viáfora. It was at the age of 15, as a lyricist, that he signed his first song. Since then, musical creation has become more frequent. Pedro began to sign partnerships also as a melodist and started his solo work. After his first shows, Pedro Viáfora started working with the project 5 A Seco, in which together with Vinicius Calderoni, Tó Brandileone, Pedro Altério and Leo Bianchini, he performs a show of authorial songs, without protagonists. The group had a great success with the public, and all tickets were sold out in the first season, in July 2009 at Sala Crisantempo, Vila Madalena - SP. Due to the excellent repercussion, the group was invited to play at Tom Jazz and at Itaú Cultural, once again with a full house. The year 2011 was marked in the history of the artists. Again, tickets sold out for all days of shows at Auditório do Ibirapuera, when the recording of the group's first CD/DVD took place, which was released in the first half of 2012. The shows offered Pedro the possibility to share the stage with Maria Gadú, Lenine, and Chico César, great names of Brazilian music. He also had the participation of the artists Dani Black and Ivan Lins. The album was well received by critics and placed the group among the finalists for the Brazilian Music Award 2012, in the category "Best MPB group". Also in 2012, the group participated in a rereading of the musical Cambaio, by João Falcão, with songs by Chico Buarque and Edu Lobo. The play, then entitled "Cambaio a Seco" - referring to the group's name - was staged for a month at the Sesc Pompéia theater in São Paulo. In addition, they participated in the CD [r21589873], released by Lua Music, performing the song Derramando o Gai. Through 5 a Seco, Pedro played in renowned stages of Brazil; such as Clube do Choro - Brasília, Teatro Oi Futuro - Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, Espaço Cultural Sérgio Porto - Rio de Janeiro, Teatro Bradesco and Auditório do Ibirapuera - São Paulo, among others. In 2013, the song "Em Paz", performed by 5 a seco and Maria Gadu was the opening theme of the soap opera Flor do Caribe, from Rede Globo. Pedro also marked his presence in Pedro Camargo Mariano's CD 8, with the song "Sei Lá Eu", in partnership with Pedro Altério. In June 2013, Pedro Viáfora gave life to his first solo album, entitled [r21605863]. The album was recorded at Estúdio Sollua during 2012 and was produced by Celso Viáfora. It featured the participation of renowned musicians such as Marcelo Mariano, Thiago "Big" Rabello, Webster Santos, among others. The album, mixed by Thiago Monteiro and mastered by [a393852], was the first studio record of Pedro Viáfora's work, and marks the beginning of a new solo work of the artist.
