Ex-Machina was a group of composers from Porto Alegre dedicated to producing and disseminating contemporary erudite music. The group made recordings and presentations in which electronic, electroacoustic and spectral music were used, the introduction of scenic and visual elements, electronic instruments such as the theremin and unconventional instruments such as a blender, mixer and sheets of paper.
