Born on November 23, 1977 in the town of Galabovo, Bulgaria. She graduated from a music class with a profile in folk singing at the school "Georgi Bregov" - Pazardzhik. The artistic pseudonym - Маца (Matsa) was given to her by Азис (Azis) after they met in a folk restaurant. After graduating from school, she took part in a competition in the Cosmic Voices choir (хор “Космически гласове”) with conductor Vanya Moneva. Matsa competed with 150 girls who applied for three places and is one of the chosen ones. She has been with choir for 3 years as a soloist and during that time she has toured almost all of Europe together with her colleagues, with whom she has won many festivals at home and abroad. They perform folk songs from the Rhodope, Thracian and Dobrudzha regions. Цветан Спасов (Cvetan Spasov) from Ку-Ку бенд (Kuku Band) invites her to the music company БМК (BMK). Cvetan Spasov, who at that time was a kaval player and in the Cosmic Voices choir invites his vocal colleague to record an album for BMK. With the company of Слави Трифонов (Slavi Trifonov) she released her first studio album as one of the members in the pop-folk group Тринити (Triniti). The group disbanded a year and a half later. After Triniti broke up, Matsa went to Sunny Music (2). "So I decided, and a colleague of mine directed me to Sunny," she argued, pointing to her good friendship with Azis. There she released her first solo album "Всяка Нощ" Afterwards she later joined the music company Payner under the pseudonym Валентина Кристи (Valentina Kristi)
