Об исполнителе:
Düsseldorf pop-rock band who took their name from a Neu! track. Guitarist, singer and occasional piano- / organ player Joe Stick first gathered the band members around 1971 at the Düsseldorf Uni. In 1972, before releasing anything as Lilac Angels, most of the band members were guest musicians on [m1149519]. Their debut was co-produced by Neu! member Klaus Dinger, and it was also released by him as well. The line-up on the first album was: Lead singer - Joe Stick Guitar - Horst "Horrex" Lutge Bass - Det Silverstein (possibly an alias to Detlev Krause?) Drums - Nappes Napiersky In the mid-70s the guitarist Horst "Horrex" Luedtke had left. Joe Stick, who was looking for a new guitarist, approached Bodo Staiger, who at that time was a guitar student at the music school Meerbusch. This setting played a lot of gigs. The second album, Hard To Be Free, was released in 1978. At that time, the bass player was replaced by Peter Wollek. A live recording from 1979 lists Detlev Krause as live member (bass, vocals). Bodo Staiger moved on to Rheingold, the band went on hiatus later in 1979, but got together in 1981 with a partially new line up to record L.A. III.
