He worked with Coleman Hawkins (1941), Cootie Williams And His Orchestra (1944 (?) or 1946) ; the house band of the Rhumboogie Cafe in Chicago (1942-43); Louis Jordan And His Tympany Five; Duke Ellington & Ella Fitzgerald; Marl Young and Walter Fuller Recorded for Chess (1950s), Nessa and Delmark (1980s, 1990s)
